Condolences & Memories (4 entries)

  • My condolences to Bonnie and family. I just found this out and have always wondered where my good friends Heather and Bonnie had moved to. We were good friends from the ages of 15-20 in The Pas. Many good memories. - Posted by: Donna Nabess (Houghton) (We were good friends from the ages of 15-20 approx. in The Pas. ) on: Jan 08, 2014

  • I've known Heather since the early 1980's at a dog show. She became a sort of fan of my dogs and turned up at every show in Winnipeg to see the dogs. Eventually she bought her first puppy from me. We began to spend more time together, just doing things - shopping, more dog shows, eating out, swapping books (we were both avid readers). I lived outside Winnipeg and often picked her and her dog up and brought them out for a day of fresh air and doggy things. I came to England in 2004 to marry my husband and from then we communicated by phone or mail. Even though the physical distance between us had grown we still had a really close tie. I missed her so much, but health problems prevented me from returning to Canada. I miss her even more now. I have a watercolour here she did of one of my dogs as well as a pencil drawing and a print and I will cherish them even more now. I am so sorry that she's gone. A true friend and a wonderful person. I will miss her forever. - Posted by: Sandra 'Sam' Bramston (Good friend, breeder of her two dogs, Zeus and Echo) on: Oct 23, 2013

  • Very sorry to hear this sad news. Heather was a kind and gentle soul with a great sense of humour. When we drove out to the cliffs along Lake Ontario in the sunshine, that was a good day Heather. - Posted by: Bill and Anne Kelly (Friends) on: Aug 29, 2013

  • Our heartfelt condolences, Bonnie and family. May memories held close give you comfort at this time. Ray and Angela - Posted by: Ray and Angela Elke (Cousin) on: Aug 24, 2013
