JOHN HYSLOP May 24, 1916 - August 24, 2013 A husband, father, Second World War, D-Day, Juno Beach veteran (Fort Garry Horse Regiment), friend, helper, farmer, federal civil servant (Department of Agriculture), woodworker, fix-it man, card player, traveller, golfer (Elmhurst), curler, fisherman, outdoorsman, gardener, culinary expert, and all-around nice guy has passed away. His kind, hospitable, generous, caring, loving nature and witty personality will always be remembered by those who knew and loved him. Pop was predeceased by his parents, James and Catherine; wife, Jessie; sons, Brian and Bob; brother, Abe, and sisters, Kay and Isobel. He will be buried next to his much loved family, Jessie, Brian and Bob. Left to cherish his memory are his daughter-in-law, Analee; niece, Cathie and her extended family; nephew, Fred; dear friends, Sam and Carla, their daughters, Andrea and Jennifer, and their families.
