Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryMYRTLE ANNIE KELLY A precious life was lost on August 24, 2013 when our beloved mother Myrtle passed away. Born Myrtle Annie Hubbard in 1913, she celebrated her 100th birthday on February 14. Mom was loved by all her family and will be dearly missed by daughter Jackie Beaton of Winnipeg, grandson Kelly Beaton of London, UK, son-in-law Ian MacLeod, Blairmore, AB, grandsons Scott MacLeod and family of Cranbrook, BC, and Jeff MacLeod and family of Edmonton, AB. Myrtle was predeceased by her daughter Joyce in 1969, husband Ross in 1992, daughter Irene (Bunny) in 1993 and son-in-law Bob Beaton in 1996. She was also predeceased by her siblings Sydney Hubbard and Irene Wilton and was loved by their families. Mom shared many happy occasions and travel with her family and friends and treasured her cottage at Wendigo Beach. She loved her family unconditionally, bringing strength and insight to their lives and was a source of pride and inspiration. Irrepressibly playful Myrtle lived life to the fullest but always found time for others. She had a strong will along with an unselfish and generous nature. Myrtle was a sweet lady with great inner strength and immeasurable wit. A bookkeeper by profession she was also a member of Miriam Rebekah Lodge and received the degree of chivalry in 1990. Sincere thanks to the loving staff at Kildonan Personal Care Centre for all their kindness, to the ladies of North Kildonan United Church and to friendly care giver Darlene. A memorial service will be held on Thursday, August 29 at 3:00 p.m. at North Kildonan United Church, 174 Pentland Avenue, Winnipeg. Our beautiful mother and grandmother will be truly missed. May she rest in peace.

Jackie, sorry to hear of your mom's passing. She was such a nice, friendly lady with a real zest for life! I was glad to have visited with her a few years ago at the cottage and she was still enjoying a rum! My parents also really enjoyed being their neighbours. May she rest in peace. - Posted by: Greg & Viviane Sibbald (Desrosiers) (cottage neighbours) on: Aug 27, 2013
