MARY CATHERINE COULTER It is with sadness that we announce the death of our Mom, Mary Coulter (nee Redmond). She passed away on Sunday, August 25, 2013 and has taken her final journey to be with the love of her life, Jack. She leaves to celebrate her life, and to mourn her passing, children Kerry (Garry), Jim (Diane), Brian (Jill), and Pat (Mike). Her grandchildren Scott (Anne), Carly (Marc), Erin (Patrick), Terra, Andrew, Marijke, Anna and Julia will miss and cherish her endless love for them. Her great-grandchildren Liam, Jack and Max will hear and know the stories of her caring and love for her family. She is survived by her sister, Grace Scheel. Mom dedicated her life to her family and her community. She devoted much time and energy to Riverview Community Club and to Rosedale United Church where she volunteered tirelessly and built many life long relationships that she treasured. She was the ultimate caregiver, tending to the needs of her family and her extended family, and was a true friend, faithfully visiting them in hospitals and nursing homes as time passed. Her beautiful smile and caring words always brought comfort and joy. It was at West Hawk Lake where Mom, along with Dad and our family would spend our summers. Always at home surrounded by nature Mom encouraged a love of the outdoors in all of us. Those times spent there are some of the moments that we all hold on to and cherish whether it was swimming, fishing with Grandma, or just sharing stories and enjoying the genuine pleasure of being together. Thank you to those staff members at Vista Park Lodge who treated Mom and our family with compassion and dignity in her final years. A service in celebration of her life will be held on Tuesday, September 10, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. at Churchill Park United Church, 525 Beresford Avenue, Winnipeg, Manitoba. If you so wish donations can be made in Mary's memory to the Alzheimer's Society of Manitoba, Churchill Park United Church or a charity of your choice. May the road rise to meet you, may the wind be always at your back, may the sun shine warm upon your face, the rain fall soft upon your fields and until we meet again may God hold you in the palm of His hand. - Gaelic Blessing
