  • I hadn't seen or Spoke to Cory since I left Winnipeg when I was 14 and he was 13 but I've have many thoughts from those days. Specially lately. When I heard of your passing. all those memories came rushing back. Like when we used to look at Kenny's penthouse mags on sleepovers. Or all the times we went golfing as children. Or just delivering the free press on those sat and sun mornings even when it was -30. I always wanted to come back to the old hood but just never got around to it. • Cory was my brother's good friend growing up. I remember he was always around our house. He had this contagious laugh and big smile, that was hard to forget. He would always try and give me a hard time like a big brother would. You will always be remembered as a great friend and a big brother to me. You will be missed big brother. • Cory, You were an amazing Uncle to my husband. We miss you like crazy. Going home to Winnipeg will not be the same without you there. I will never forget when you and Wayne drove out from Winnipeg to Edmonton for our wedding. You had long hair wearing ripped jeans on when we saw you the day before the wedding. Then all of a sudden we see you the next day for the wedding and you were all cleaned up hair cut nice suit we were so impressed and kinda shocked. You looked awesome on our wedding day and we were so grateful that you were there to celebrate with us. We will miss you so much and we will never stop thinking about you. • Cory and I grew up together, best friends. We shared alot of good times, had lots of laughs, he was the closest I could have to a brother. He was my best man at my wedding. He was my oldest daughter's godfather. Even though we lost touch over the last few years, whenever we did see each other it was like no time had passed. I have so many good memories with Cory. I always expected that we would reconnect sometime as best buds. I will miss you Cory. Rest in peace buddy. - Posted by: Damien Burns (Friend) on: Aug 31, 2013
