MARCEL DEFOORT May 30, 1928 - August 26, 2013 On Monday, August 26, 2013 with his wife Ann of 60 years and family by his side, Dad lost his courageous battle with cancer. Leaving to mourn his passing are his wife Ann, children Dawn (Jim), Doug (Louise), Dale (Marvin), grandchildren and great-grandchildren Jaime (Jaidyn, Carsyn, Londyn), Kristyn, Jason, Jennifer, Amanda (Marcel, Madison, Derek Jr.), Katie and Lori. He is also survived by his brother Rene (Gail), and many nieces and nephews. Dad was predeceased by his daughter Darlene, his parents Camille and Marie, his brothers and sisters Robert, Julius, Rachel, Janet and Maurice. Thank you to staff at Riverview and Middlechurch Home for the care and compassion shown to Dad. As per Dad's request, no service will be held. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to CancerCare Manitoba.
