ANNE KRUCIK Passed on into eternal rest peacefully on August 26, 2013, 15 days following a celebration of her 100th birthday with her family. She will be missed and lovingly remembered by her sister Mildred Kucher, son Grant (wife Margaret, grandsons David - wife Rosalind, Kevin - wife Elena, great-grandchildren Matt and Shana; granddaughter Karen, great-grandchildren Sophia and James); son George (wife Bonny, grandsons David and Bohdan). Anne was predeceased by her parents Daniel and Maria Cholodniuk, husband Daniel (February 2001), her son David (April 1993), and her sister Olga Musick (September 1996). Anne taught in the Winnipeg School Board and was loved by her special education classes. She was very active in clubs and politics. She was the first female Returning Officer for elections in Manitoba. Anne loved to be with her children and to attend all family gatherings. When the grandchildren came she joined her husband in babysitting in Vancouver. Dan and Anne retired to Vancouver in the fall of 1996, to be closer to both the son's families. Later she moved to Vancouver Island, where she was lovingly cared for in Lakeside Gardens, Nanaimo and the final years in Trillium, Parksville. There will be a private interment at Valley View, 14660-72 Ave., Surrey, BC.
