Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryGREGORY HOWARD DAMAN-WILLEMS March 10, 1955 - Winnipeg, MB August 14, 2013 - Calgary, AB Peacefully, on August 14, 2013, Greg Daman-Willems passed away after a battle with stomach cancer at the age of 58. Greg was born in Winnipeg, MB to Howard and Anne Daman-Willems. In 1983 Greg was united in marriage to Sonia (nee Stratuliak). In 1986 they had a son, Curtis Daman-Willems. Greg was predeceased by his parents, Howard and Anne Daman-Willems, his mother-in-law, Mary Stratuliak, uncles and aunts, and by his nephew Kevin Delaney. Greg will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his wife of 30 years, Sonia Daman-Willems of Calgary, AB; son Curtis Daman-Willems and wife Kelly of Calgary, AB; his sister Dianne and husband Norm Mitchel of Winnipeg, MB; brother Wayne Daman-Willems and wife Carol of Winnipeg, MB and sister Monica and husband Jim Delaney of Sherwood Park, AB. Also surviving: father-in-law, Tony Stratuliak of Ethelbert, MB; brother-in-law Bill and wife Bernice Stratuliak of Dauphin, MB; sister-in-law Elsie and husband Jim Jorgensen of Duncan, BC; brother-in-law Wayne Stratuliak of Ethelbert, MB; his nephew Derek and his nieces Sandra, Paige, Vanessa and Jaelyn and their families. There are also numerous cousins and their families. Greg's first job was working as a delivery boy for his uncles George and Norbert Benderski who operated a corner grocery store in Winnipeg. After that he was employed by Westfair Foods (Loblaws) for 27 years and then became a parts driver for Bumper to Bumper. His last employment was with Kidco Construction as a parts driver for heavy equipment. He enjoyed travelling and watching hockey and football but his passion was golfing. Greg golfed every Sunday with his friends Pat, Mark and Bill and also joined a seniors Tuesday league. He especially looked forward to his spring and fall golfing excursions to Las Vegas, Palm Springs and Phoenix. Greg will be remembered for his sense of humour and that he made sure everyone was taken care of before himself. A Celebration of Greg's Life will be held at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY'S Crowfoot Chapel (82 Crowfoot Circle N.W., Calgary, AB), on Monday, September 9, 2013 at 1:00 p.m. Condolences may be forwarded through www.mcinnisandholloway.com In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Greg Daman-Willems may be made by email to www.albertacancer.ca/memorial or cheques can be sent to the Alberta Cancer Foundation, c/o Tom Baker Cancer Centre, 1331- 29 Street N.W., Calgary, AB T2N 9Z9.
