His faith and perseverance helped him to overcome distress and to keep those around him in as much joy and happiness as possible. He especially loved being a pépère to his grandchildren. The family wishes to express their gratitude to the staff on CD3 at the Riverview Health Centre for their care, kindness and consideration. In keeping with Victor's wishes, cremation has taken place and a memorial mass celebrating his life will be held 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, September 12, 2013 at the St. Vital Catholic Church, 1629 Pembina Highway followed by a memorial tribute and eulogy. I was sorry to read the sad news of Vic's passing. Although we haven't seen each other in years I always remember Vic as a gentleman and a great competitor when we played hockey in the old amphitheater on Osborne street. My condolences to his family. He was someone to be very proud of. Ross Parke - Posted by: Ross Parke (Hockey teammate 1951 Monarchs memorial cup finalists) on: Sep 11, 2013
