STANLEY JACK PRODANUK February 24, 1930 - September 8, 2013 It is with sadness that we announce the passing of Jack Prodanuk, on Sunday, September 8, 2013 at the age of 83, after a brief battle with cancer. Jack was predeceased by his wife of 42 years, Muriel. He will be lovingly remembered by his daughter Karen and son-in-law Paul Long, sisters Virginia (Orest) Ciuro and Marion Prodanuk, sisters-in-law, Margaret (Ben) Loewen and Alma Leslie, nieces and nephews, and many close friends. Dad retired from Communications Canada in 1989. He was a cub leader and volunteered with the Lupus Society, loved listening to music, golfing, spending time at the cottage at Pleasant Valley with family and friends, travelling to Phoenix and going on cruises with Marg and Ben. Always with a smile on his face, he enjoyed nothing more than being there to lend a hand. A memorial will be held on Friday, September 13, 2013, at 2:00 p.m. at Glen Lawn Funeral Home, 455 Lagimodiere Boulevard. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to CancerCare Manitoba, 675 McDermot Avenue, Room ON1160, Winnipeg, MB R3E 0V9. My deepest condolences. Very sorry to hear of Jack's passing. Jack was essentially the first person I met when joining the Department of Communications back in 1976....he was my trainer. Sorry to hear of Jack's passing.....we spent many hours together from our days in Churchill to inspectors in Winnipeg...Nettie and I (before her passing) visited on a semi regular basis and always enjoyed their company...my condolences - Posted by: Al Wastle (co-worker) on: Sep 11, 2013
