Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryANNA KIDD (nee RASMUSSEN) It is with great sadness the family announces the peaceful passing of our mother, nana, sister and auntie, on Sunday, September 8, 2013 at the age of 84 years at her home with her family. She will be missed and remembered by her son Ronn (Cathy); granddaughter Andrea; grandson Dustin (Laura); great-grandsons Max and Alex; granddaughter Tanya; grandson Devin; son Bill (Louise); daughter Cindi (Mario); grandsons Thomas, Jason, Tyler; great-granddaughter Abby; grandson Brayden; son Don (Lisa); grandson Karl; granddaughters Sherie and Angela; grandson Brian; great-grandson Carter; sisters Asta, Betty (Wally), Elsie and brother Henry (Anita); as well as many nieces, nephews, grand-nieces, grand-nephews and many special friends. She was predeceased by her parents Maria and Sofus, sister Elly, brothers Evald, Norman, Robert and grandson Garrett. Anna was born in Arnes, MB the fourth of nine children and along with her sisters and brothers worked together with their parents, who were market gardeners and had a farm in Monominto, MB where she spent her years growing up. Anna was a fiercely independent, strong willed, single mother of four children that held a fulltime demanding career for over 45 years with UCS Group an umbrella company of Imperial Tobacco and eventually retired to her condo in Winnipeg and spent much time with her loving family. We would like to thank the North Eastman Interlake Nursing staff, the doctors and nurses of CancerCare Manitoba and the whole family for their support, guidance and kindness through this difficult time. My condolences to all the family. Nana was an awesome person with a great sense of humor. Her cooking and baking was legendary. I was invited over many times for special occasions and always left feeling like a King. I am sure she will be greatly missed by everyone as she was a strong person with a big heart. Anne was an extraordinary lady. I'm so very happy that I was able to spend the last couple of years getting close with her. Knowing her; was truly loving her. She was one of a kind ~ in a good way.
