Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryANITA KAYE (nee HEBERT) Anita Kaye passed away on January 25, 2013 in Québec City. She had moved there in 2011 to be closer to her cousin, Denis Hébert and his family. Anita was born and raised in St. Marthe, Saskatchewan and she had very fond memories of her life there with the Hébert, Rajotte, Robert, Fafard and Plante families. She ran the local post office until the Hébert family moved to St. Boniface, Manitoba in the 1940s. Her family eventually moved to St. Anne -des-Chênes. She stayed on in Winnipeg and worked at the Misericordia Hospital for several years. Anita met Jim and they got married in 1968. They resided on Hill Street in Norwood for nearly 40 years. She was very close to her family and was an excellent caregiver and helped her parents and brother deal with very serious illnesses. She loved gardening and enjoyed the outdoors. Anita loved travelling and would always look forward to her time with Jim in the North West Territories where he managed Great Bear Lodge for several years. Her mother, Irène, passed away in 1963, her father, Arthur, in 1971 and her brother, Roger, in 1983. Anita was predeceased by her loving husband Jim in 1999. Anita was the last of the elders in our family. She will be dearly missed by her sister-in-law Jean Kess, cousins and friends. She was cremated in Québec City where a memorial service was held in January 2013. A graveside service will take place at the St. Boniface Cemetery on Archibald Street on Thursday, September 19 at 11:15 a.m.
