HILDA JOSEPHINE HARKNESS December 13, 1932- September 9, 2013 It is with great sadness and sorrow that we announce the passing of our dear sister and sister-in-law Hilda Josephine Harkness on Monday, September 9, 2013 in New York City, at the age of 80. Josephine was predeceased by her mother Hilda Jobi, her father Joseph Harkness and her only brother Michael Harkness. She is survived by her younger sister Margaret (Rose) Harkness (Marushak), her brother-in-law William Marushak and her nephew Gary Marushak. Josie was a graduate of Machray School and St. John's High School. Josie was a long time resident of New York City. She also graduated from The Fashion Institute of Technology in New York. She then started her own business in textiles and kitchen designing. Josie worked for The Winnipeg Electric Co. and then The Power Commission while in Winnipeg. She loved to travel and spent much time in England and Europe. She was very fond of animals, especially her dog and cats. Josie was cremated and her ashes were interned at The Marble Collegiate Church in New York. Rest In Peace
