LESLEY ELIZABETH LUMSDEN
Born: Nov 03, 1948
Date of Passing: Sep 15, 2013
Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryLESLEY ELIZABETH LUMSDEN It is with extreme sadness that we announce Lesley's untimely passing on September 15, 2013 after a brief illness. She was predeceased by her parents, Stuart and Marie Lumsden, and her sister and brother- in-law Carol and Richard Nemes. She is survived by her nephew Brian (Marlene), great- nephew Taylor Nemes, cousin Debbie (Allen) and god son Aaron Pitt and family as well as numerous cousins and friends. Lesley was born in Winnipeg on November 3, 1948 and grew up in Elmwood where she attended Lord Selkirk School and Elmwood High School. She resided for the last 40 years in North Kildonan. She spent virtually all of her work career at Royal & Sun Alliance (Royal Insurance) for 40 years before her retirement eight years ago. Her dedication to the company was rewarded by allowing her to take early retirement. Outside of work she spent most of her adult life caring for people, family and friends alike. Never waiting for someone to ask, Lesley was always there before the person even knew they needed something. The people fortunate enough to have Lesley in their life knew she was someone special, truly a one of a kind. Lesley loved to travel and had many memorable trips with family and friends. Lesley was a life-long Blue Bomber fan and had season tickets on the west side (50 yard line) for many years. Upon retirement she was able to spend extra quality time with family and friends for dinners, lunches etc. She was also finally able to pursue her passion by watching/recording all her favourite TV shows. The family would like to thank all of the staff in the Medical/Surgical Intensive Care Unit (E2) at the St. Boniface Hospital for their care and compassion. She will missed by numerous family and friends. We love you Les! Flowers are gratefully declined. Donations may be made to a charity of one's choice. A celebration of life will be held September 27, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. at Klassen Funeral Home, 1897 Henderson Highway. KLASSEN FUNERAL HOME 1897 Henderson Hwy. 338-0331 Condolences may be sent to www.klassenfuneralhome.com

It was a pleasure to work with Lesley for 30 years. I got to know her a lot better when the office was much smaller the last 10 years of her employment She always had a great attitude. I am sorry she passed away at such a young age. - Posted by: Gord Holyk (Co-worker at RSA) on: Sep 23, 2013

LES AND I HAD MANY LAUGHS WHEN WE WORKED TOGETHER. AFTER I TRANSFERRED, IT WAS GREAT TO FOLLOW HER ADVANCEMENT IN THE COMPANY. SHE WAS A TROOPER AND A GRAND LADY. - Posted by: BOB MILLAR HIGH RIVER,AB (OLD ASSOCIATE) on: Sep 21, 2013
