Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryJANET VERNA MCLENNAN (nee BORGER) 1932 - 2013 It is with heavy hearts and deep sorrow that we announce the passing of our beloved Mother and Gammy, Janet, on September 18, 2013, at the St. Boniface Palliative Care Unit with her lovely cat CeCe beside her. Mama is again with the love of her life, James, our cherished father. Left with broken hearts to mourn mom's passing and cherish her memory forever are her children and grandchildren; Lana (Jeff), Britni, James; Glenn (Kathy), Griffin, Graeson, Kellen; Colleen (Derek), Ryan, Jessica; as well as many dear friends and relatives. Mama dearly loved her grandchildren and they were her strength as she courageously fought a long battle with cancer. Babysitting, attending their special events, cooking and baking for her "Love Bugs", were her favourite things to do. Mama will be remembered as loving, thoughtful, gentle, selfless, generous and kind. Despite her illness, she never complained and held to her faith in the Lord. Her amazing meals and desserts were enjoyed by all. She loved animals especially CeCe, her constant companion, and fed the birds and deer faithfully. We would like to express special thanks to Dr. Gingrich and Cheryl RN for their compassion and support during Mama's harsh journey and the staff of St. Boniface Palliative Care Unit. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to a charity of your choice or to the St. Boniface Palliative Care Endowment Fund. Private family graveside will be held. Just heard about Janie's passing tonight. Our thoughts and prayers are with all of you - Lana, Glenn and Colleen - and your spouses and kids. Over the years your mom LOVED to talk about her grandchildren(she was so very proud of all her family!)- and of course her cats! We'll miss our phone conversations. We're so thankful her long suffering is over and she's once again united with Jim! Janie and Jim were such good neighbours. Karl and I were deeply saddened by Jim's passing and now that Janie is gone too, we are again filled with sympathy for the family.
