DAVID JOHN WOOD, M.D. On September 17, 2013 surrounded by family at Fairfax Hospital Virginia David passed away at age 71. He leaves to mourn his wife Claudia, children Derek (Stacey), Graham (Dessalen), Jessica (Jeff) as well as Sandy, Marilyn, Kate, Lara, Derek and Nicole. He is also survived by his sister Merryl-Lee (Gerry), brothers Brian (Ethel) and Paul (Grazia), many grandchildren, nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents Bea and Fred Wood, his wife Celeste, cousin Ross and niece Aimee. David grew up in Wildwood Park, a Canadian Champion speedskater coached by his father, he played for the Fort Garry Lions Football Club. He excelled at school graduating from Viscount Alexander Collegiate and went on to specialize in psychiatry, practicing in Montreal and Virginia. A private service will be held at a later date.
