Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryWALTER GRASSLER March 8, 1935 - September 19, 2013 Passed away peacefully in his sleep after a lengthy illness. Walter enjoyed his years of employment at Deer Lodge Hospital, Health Sciences Centre, University of Manitoba, and finally at Apotex Pharmaceuticals. After retirement, he and his beloved wife spent many winters in Arizona. If he wasn't out having fun with Florence and his close friends, he could be found working on any number of projects in his workshop. Walter is survived by his loving wife Florence; one sister Anne (Dick from London, ON); his children Gord (Edma), Karen (fiancé Ruui), Lynn, Gwen (Ray); as well as nine grandchildren Elaan, Everett, Matthew, Cody, Ryan, Garrett, Riannon, Kristen, Sharon; and one great-grandson Jaeden. A service will be held at Chapel Lawn, 4000 Portage Avenue on Monday, September 30 at 2:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully requests donations to a charity of your choice in memory of their loved one.
