SHARON GARBUTT (TRACY)
Born: Jul 27, 1947
Date of Passing: Sep 26, 2013
Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemorySHARON GARBUTT (nee TRACY) July 27, 1947 September 26, 2013 It is with profound sadness we announce the passing of our beloved mother, grandmother, sister and aunt, Sharon Garbutt at the age of 66 years. Sharon will be dearly missed by her sons Scott Garbutt (Suzanne) Tracy Garbutt (Cathy); grandsons Taylor, Shawn, Joel, Noah, Theo; sister Lynne Swain and nephew Graham Swain; as well as by many others, including her CNIB friends, volunteers and neighbours. It was a privilege to know Sharon and her passing has left a very empty place in our lives. She was predeceased by her parents Bella (2010) and Frank Tracy (1997). She was a devoted daughter to them. Being raised and continuing to reside in the Charleswood area, Sharon was very proud of her home but even more proud of her boys, telling all who would listen of their accomplishments. She handled adversity with humour and with grace. She was and will continue to be an inspiration to all who knew her - even strangers marvelled at her abilities. Sharon was always "there" to listen to the joys and sorrows of others, to defend and support her family and friends, share a joke and offer advice on the Blue Bombers of whom she was a lifelong fan. She was a character to say the least and you would know that if your paths had crossed. Her sense of humour, her witty and caring personality touched many lives. We embrace her in our hearts and will always remember her. No formal Funeral Service will be held. Family and close friends will honour Sharon at her home on Saturday October 5, 2013 anytime between 11:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the CNIB or the Humane Society. Jackie and I are so sorry for your loss Tracy, Scott and your families. We will always remember the numerous visits and laughs we shared. We would like to mention how Sharon touched our hearts when our oldest daughter Ashley was born. Sharon crocheted a blanket for her. This was one of the greatest gifts that our family has ever received. The thought and effort that was put into that gift reminds us often on how special it is when a gift truly touches your heart. You will be missed Sharon, and thank you for all the wonderful memories. Trevor, Jackie, Ashley, Samantha Karlowsky. - Posted by: Trevor and Jackie Karlowsky (Friend) on: Sep 28, 2013
