PHYLLIS MURIEL CHEWKA The family of Phyllis Chewka wishes to announce her passing on September 24, 2013 in Hinton, Alberta. Phyllis was 78 years old. Left to treasure her memory and remember all that she was is her loving family; husband, Ed and their children, Derek Chewka and Darren (Jennifer Sinclair) Chewka, both of Edmonton, Alberta. Phyllis also leaves behind her precious grandchildren, Danielle and Kallen Dunlop, as well numerous family and treasured friends. Phyllis was predeceased by her parents, Frank and Gilberte Boutang, Gary Boutang, Ronald Boutang, Delores Vallee and Keith Ewasiuk. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on September 30, 2013 at 1:00 p.m. at Our Lady of the Foothills Catholic Church with Father Brian Inglis as Celebrant. In keeping with her wishes, cremation will follow this service. The family suggests that if so desired, a donation can be made to The Hinton Healthcare Centre for Palliative Care, 1280 Switzer Drive, Hinton, Alberta T7V 1V2 in Phyllis Chewka's memory.
