Condolences & Memories (8 entries)

  • Father Morand baptized me in 1971, married my parents in 1968. Many year later and the last time I saw the Father was in 2008 when he did the eulogy at my grandmother's funeral. He looked into the pews and said he recognized all of us grandchildren from the pictures she shared with him. I never forgot that. He left me with this lasting memory of Grandma's love for her family. He was a long time and strong presence in our family. - Posted by: Kate Featherstone (Admirer) on: Dec 24, 2015

  • Yes, Father Pat had a great influence in our lives, taught us in religion classes on Saturday afternoons, as well as to become an alter boy. He also enjoyed coming over to mom and dad's for dinner after Sunday mass, in Baldur (Dunrea). Oh and of course there was The IRISH coffee. LOL He will be sadly missed, but I'm also glad to know that he is now pain free and with our Master in heaven - Posted by: Gerald Gagnon ( parishoner) on: Nov 10, 2013

  • Was not only a great priest but a great human being. Will always remember him saying "Say a prayer for me ok". - Posted by: Darren Ferenc (Student at St.Maurice) on: Oct 24, 2013

  • Please accept my condolences to Msgr Patrick Morand's family on behalf of my sister Jane Hebert of Portage La Prairie and myself Bridget Bradshaw of Courtenay B.C. We are happy that our paths have crossed in this life's journey as we remember him with fondness. Like Melchizedek he was truly a priest forever. Father Pat is in "Good Hands" now at rest, finally free of all earthly pain. I keep all of you in my prayers, confident that your strong faith and memories of the good times you've shared will sustain you now, in sorrow. In loving sympathy Jane and Bridget. - Posted by: Bridget Bradshaw () on: Oct 11, 2013
