In 1942, he was discharged from the army for health reasons and they then moved to Winnipeg. He was employed as a truck driver until he was able to join Winnipeg Transit in March 1944. For 40 years he was employed as a bus driver with the city of Winnipeg, retiring with badge #1. • Our deepest sympathy on the loss of your father. My dad Bill Graves came from Welwyn and both got work at Winnipeg Electric, at the same time. I was born at Welwyn, and moved to Wpg. in 1940. We lived on Ainslie St. in St. James, and with our parents, visited Wes and Leneve many times. When Wes and Leneve moved to Lee River, I became their Insurance agent. When my mother Wilma moved to Beausejour we visited back and forth. They had many happy years at Lee River. On my way to work from Bird River on Monday mornings, I used to meet Wes on his morning walk to the Store for his paper.
