STEPHANIE MILLS (nee TRUSS) 1918 - 2013 Stephanie Mills died peacefully on Sunday, October 6, 2013 at the Luther Home. She was predeceased by her devoted husband of 68 years, Bill, her older brother Edward and younger sister, Victoria. She leaves her sons, Bob (Diane), and Terry (Dorothy), her brothers-in-law Bernard (Hattie) Mills and Michael Shalapata, and "always there when needed" family friend Maggie Lawrence. Dearest to Stephanie's heart was her family especially her grandchildren: Tara, Chris, Stephanie and Warren. She had a special place in her heart for her great-granddaughters: Emily, Julia and June. Stephanie and Bill lived in Montreal, Brandon, Ignace, Souris and Winnipeg while Bill was working with the C.P.R. They made many long lasting friendships at each community. Steph will be remembered as someone who was there for her friends and neighbours. She loved her pets and had a unique sense of humour. Her spirit, feistiness and fun loving attitude will live on in all the lives that she touched. We wish to thank the family and friends who supported Steph through her final years and a special thanks to the wonderful staff of the Luther Home for their loving care. A memorial service and celebration of life will be held at the Luther Home, 1081 Andrews Street, Winnipeg at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, October 9. Friends of Stephanie are welcome.
