MARY DORIS WILSON (nee PORCINA) May 7, 1913 October 5, 2013 Peacefully with family by her side Mary Doris Wilson passed away at Park Manor Personal Care Home on Saturday, October 5, 2013. Mary was born and raised in Hodgson, MB; her mother was Catherine Feschyn (Yugoslavia) and father Harry Porcina (Ukraine); she was proud of her family heritage. Mary is survived by her daughter Linda Borodenko (Gary), grandson Nicholas (Margret), great-grandchildren Sloane and Dexter; granddaughter Cynthia (Trevor), great-grandchildren Adhara and Holdyn; and her daughter Cheryl Woods (David) and grandchildren Steven and Stacey. Mary was predeceased by her husbands; James Branson in 1943 and Noble Wilson in 1995, as well as an infant son Douglas Arthur at birth, her sister Stella Olson and brothers Paul and Peter Porcina. Mom loved cooking, gardening, quilting, sewing, reading, playing the piano and art (drawing and painting). She loved to travel and enjoyed meeting people. She was also proud to be a school teacher and prided herself in education for her children and grandchildren. She also enjoyed her time reading tea cups at the Chocolate Shop in Winnipeg. Mom went to church every Sunday and enjoyed her dinners with family. She had a special love for her niece Marion Dudar and always enjoyed her visits to Gimli. She was very blessed to have Margaret "Maggie" Leask (Lambert) as her wonderful friend. Private family service has taken place at St. Philips Anglican church in Hodgson, MB. Memorial service celebrating her life will be held on Sunday, October 27, 2013 at 12:30 p.m. at Grace Christian Church, 50 Barnes St., Fort Garry. Special thanks to all of the staff at Park Manor Personal Care Home for their care, compassion and support. "100 YEARS of Living and Loving" Rest in Peace Mom and Grandma.
