Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryGARTH ARMAND COTE It is with sadness and heavy hearts we announce the sudden death of our son, brother, uncle, Garth Cote who passed away on October 11, 2013 at the Seven Oaks Hospital. Predeceased by his father Armand, uncle Allan Shaw, aunt Yvonne, and uncle Tom McCann. Garth will be lovingly remembered by his mother June, brother Mark (Sandra), their children Caroline, Charles and Nicholas Cote, Toronto, sister Karen (Gary) Cooper and their children Macauley, Nachelle (Steven) Zwart, of Calgary, the Shaw families California, Cote families Alberta, and McCann cousins. Garth was born at St. Boniface Hospital, August 8, 1960. Garth dealt with many adversities during his 53 years; diabetes since age of eight, renal dialysis the last four and a half years and a loss of vision in his left eye. In spite of his health, he worked at Duraco / Stormtite for 20 years, enjoyed his job and fellow workers. Determined and strong minded, with courage he adapted to his many life style changes. A private family service and interment will be held at Glen Lawn Memorial Gardens. Friends, neighbours, and co-workers, are invited to join June and family at her residence, 27 Orchard Hill Drive, on Friday, October 18, 2013 at 3:00 p.m. Special thanks to the numerous physicians, nurses, and medical staff who managed his care over the years and most recently the Dialysis team; St. Boniface Hospital. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in memory of Garth to the Renal and Diabetes Foundation. It is with a heavy heart that I write, as I heard of Garth's passing today. Although our lives had taken us in different directions, I thought of Garth frequently and am grateful for the wonderful friendship we shared in our youth. My sincere sympathies go out to the entire family as I am confident Garth will be truly missed by the many, many friends he had.
