She is predeceased by her mother Dehlia Durham, father Tom Durham, husband Lloyd Hemmingson, brothers, Dearnest, Mervin and Kenneth Durham; sister, Yvonne Evett; friend, Bill Rogowski; numerous in-laws, nieces and nephews. She had an unwavering faith and we are comforted in knowing she is now at peace in the presence of God. She is survived by son Rick (Julie) Hemmingson; daughter Bernice (Hans) Noesgaard; grandchildren Aaron (Cindy), Andrea (Jeff), Kevin (Tami), Morgan and Alexis; as well as great-grandchildren Zachary and Levi. She will be greatly missed by sisters, Bernice, Evelyn (George), Venita (Ralph), Cecilia; and brother, Tom (Annette). Auntie Etta also leaves behind numerous nephews, nieces, cousins and friends. Etta will be remembered for her contagiously charming smile, her gentle and sincere disposition and her spirited sense of humour. Her perseverance and courage to gracefully challenge any odds, and her determination to live life to the fullest will provide lasting inspiration. She was such a classy lady and so much fun. We were all so lucky to have her in our lives. Raised in Sturgis, Saskatchewan, she attended secretarial college in Regina and later graduated from nursing school in The Pas, Manitoba, where she met and married the love of her life, Lloyd Hemmingson. Together they lived in The Pas, Winnipeg, and Montreal, making lasting friendships in each community. Etta loved being a nurse and cared for many people, both as a professional and as a loving wife, mother, sister, daughter, grandmother, auntie and friend. After Lloyd passed away in 1983, Marietta made her home in Saskatoon and St. Albert. Although she never stopped missing Lloyd, she embraced life to the fullest. The family would like to express heartfelt gratitude for the exceptional care provided by Dr. Terepa, Dr. Kapel, Dr. Orvold and the teams at RUH and St. Paul's Hospital who helped Marietta and her family so much.
