I would like to say the picture posted of Verna here says it all. The warmth in this woman Verna radiates from within her out. The story posted by Adele is so nice to read. Verna touched my heart more than once. Verna and her husband Wilfred spent some Christmas dinners and many evenings at my parents place. Her presence and her caring way at our home added to my treasured memories growing up. Her presence was always so proper, stable and elegant. - Posted by: Bonny Skuba (Friend) on: Oct 23, 2013

I remember Mrs. Wright with great fondness from The Bay children's department and for a very special reason. One day she sent me to get change in the men's suit department, this was in the fall of 1970. I saw a young man in the department who took my breath away! I joked with Mrs. Wright when I got back saying she could send me for change anytime because I thought I had spotted "Mr. Right" ! Six months later I had the opportunity to meet him at The Bay's 300th birthday party. We got engaged a year later and I went to Mrs. Wright and told her first because I felt she was responsible for the romance! We were together for 30 years before he passed from cancer in 2000. I still think it's because of her that I met my future husband and will never forget her! - Posted by: Adele Deegan (worked at the Bay) on: Oct 22, 2013
