AURORE DESAUTELS November 17, 1920 - October 19, 2013 It is with great sadness that we say farewell to our mother, grandmother and great-grandmother who passed away peacefully at the Villa Youville Personal Care Home on October 19, 2013, at the age of 92 years. Missing and loving her are her five children and their families, Raymonde Duval (Armand) granddaughter Rachelle Orchard (Michael) and their children Chad and Shelby; Denise Sabourin (late Alain) grandchildren Linette Saelens (Claude) and their children Devon, Christine, Dylan; Suzanne Larocque (Alex) and daughter Kylie; Joey Sabourin (Brooke) and sons Kenneth and Jack; Lorraine Desautels; Robert (Debbie) and grandchildren Craig (Lisa) and son Brady, grandson Riley; Roger Desautels. Predeceased by her husband Francois, son-in-law Alain Sabourin, grandson Marcel Duval, great-grandson Darrin Orchard, three sisters and four brothers. Aurore was born and raised in the St. Jean Baptiste area. Being the first born of Come and Corrine Valcourt's 11 children, she had a big role in care giving for her siblings. She married Francois on September 24, 1946 and together they raised their children and building a life of memories surrounded by family and friends. Mom was widowed on June 17, 1977 after 31 years of marriage. She then focused on caring for family members and continuing to look after her home and enjoying various hobbies. Over the long course of her life, Mom was challenged with difficulties at times and dealt with the outcomes to the best of her ability. The next time we meet we will say hello and we will never have to say goodbye again. You may be gone but you will not be forgotten. Until we meet again rest in peace. The family would like to extend a special thank you to all the caregivers of the Villa Youville Personal Care Home for their exceptional and compassionate care they gave. May you all be blessed for the wonderful work you do. The funeral service will be held on October 24, 2013 at 3:30 p.m. at the St. Jean Baptiste Roman Catholic Church, St. Jean, MB. Interment to follow at St. Jean Cemetery. In memory or lieu of flowers, please make a donation to a charity of your choice. Arrangements entrusted to Morris Funeral Home
