Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryDONNA PATRICIA BURDEYNY April 4, 1948 - October 19, 2013 It is with deep sorrow and heavy hearts that we inform you of the passing of Donna in her 65th year. Her courageous battle ended at Credit Valley Hospital, Mississauga, Ontario on October 19, 2013 while surrounded by loving family and friends. In passing she leaves her father William Burdeyny and wife Dorothy Mappus of Largo, Florida, mother Marion Burdeyny of Georgetown, Ontario, her children Tracy and Terry Selver, grandson Kyle, sister Dianne/Richard Burke, nieces Ruth, Kerry and Amanda, great-nieces Tisha and Nika and great- nephew Keaton. Her friends were abundant for she walked in many circles, forming bonds with all she met. Her dedication and commitment to family was the heartbeat of her existence. Her humour; her lifeblood, for she loved to laugh. Donna accepted her fate with great fortitude while still finding humour even in moments of despair. May her laughter and smile remain within us. Our deepest gratitude is extended to the doctors and nurses of Credit Valley Hospital, the CCAC organization and Home Care Nurses. A Celebration of Donna's life will be held at J. Scott Early Funeral Home, 21 James Street, Milton, Ontario, starting at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, October 26, 2013. In memory of Donna, please donate to Colon Cancer Canada.

It is only today that I learned of Donna's passing and I'm very saddened. Donna and I were good friends in our early teens and I knew her family well. We lost touch when she moved East but I thought of her often. It was at Donna's home in Transcona where she and I kneeled in front of the TV in her living room home watching the Beatles' first appearance on the Ed Sullivan show in 1964. Mr. Burdeyny walked in and couldn't understand what all the squealing was about. Her mother had to explain to him that teenagers were crazy about the Beatles. Rest in peace, Donna! - Posted by: Jeanne Todoruk (Childhood Friend) on: Nov 13, 2016

Our sincere condolences to Donna's family. Donna & I were best friends growing up in Transcona. We were the first ones at the playground on Yale Ave. each day of the summer holidays. We used to go to Grand beach on the train and peel each others sunburned skin on the train ride back. We also had fun throwing things down the laundry chute in the bathroom in her house. I have so many memories of us playing school, dolls and monopoly during summer vacation. Also sleeping in tents in each of our back yards and Xmas visits back and forth plus eating our Easter chocolates outside. This is very sad news and we are truly sorry. - Posted by: Gerry and Susan Kolybabi () on: Oct 23, 2013
