He started working at a young age on the MS Keenora. This was followed by a 44 year career with Manitoba Rolling Mill retiring in 1991. Dad was a longtime member of Selkirk Legion Branch 42 and proud to have served on the Sportsman dinner committee for almost 50 years. Dad's passion for the outdoors was extensive for decades, he explored the back country of the Manitoba wilderness hunting, fishing, trapping, boating, camping and truly loved BC salmon fishing. His other passions were gardening, cooking gourmet meals, canning and pickling. Jim was a very caring person with a heart of gold, whose greatest love was his family and friends.
