RAY TRAPP Very suddenly, on October 21, Ray Trapp passed away in his sleep at his favourite place, Ingolf, Ontario. Deeply missed by his loving wife of 54 years, Connie Trapp, and his children, Wendy, (who he has joined in heaven), Gord (and Claudine) Trapp, and Colleen (and Grant) Warner. He had a special spot in his heart for his "Grandpa's Garden", his grandkids, Andie and Max, and Jonathan and Daniel, and he treasured his visits he had with them. His artistic side often shone through with various projects he was always working on, like the fireplace, pagodas, the basement fountain and his pond at the lake. Ray had a love of traveling, starting with many months camping through Mexico with the family. Other places Ray and Connie visited included Australia, New Zealand, Fiji, Rarotonga, Caracas, Hawaii and the Dominican. For a number of years, they were able to enjoy summers at the cottage, and leave winter behind for Mexico or Mesa, AZ where they had a trailer. In later years, he loved nothing more than gathering people around at the cottage for a "rummio and cokeio", (Ray's version of Spanish), puttering in his garden, feeding the wildlife, or throwing the fishing line in off the barge. Hope the fish are biting in heaven, Grandpa! A celebration of his life will be held on Friday, October 25 from 3:00 - 6:00 p.m. at 1630 Henderson Highway, the common room. Please come and share some of your special memories of Ray.

There are people in this world that you may not see everyday, but when you know that you will never see them again, you know you will miss them. Ray Trapp was one of those people that always stopped to talk to Kevin and I even though we were just the weekend people. Ray and Connie always waved on their way by, We always enjoyed his conversations when he was on his quad going to the store. Ray you will be missed. Connie and Family we are so sorry for your loss. We could not make the celebration but Kevin and I will think of Ray often. - Posted by: Kevin and Anita Smith (Friend and neighbor at the lake.) on: Oct 26, 2013
