Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryTERESA JOSEPHINE SLIPETZ (nee LINSCOTT) It is with sadness we announce the passing of our mother and grandmother who passed away peacefully at the age of 98 on Thursday, October, 3 2013 in Penticton, BC. Mom was predeceased by husband William (Bill), bothers, Michael, Clem, Bernard, and sisters, Bess and Noreen. Left to remember are brother Pierre, daughters Shelsey, Jo-Ann (Jack) Rowland, Pat (John) Davies, beloved grandchildren, Cindy and Carey Roess and nieces Bev (Joe) Kuchar, Willie (Alfred) Slipetz, Christine (Ed) Los, and nephew Michael Kendall. Mom was born November 13, 1914 in Winnipeg, MB where she remained until she was married to Bill in 1945 after six years of writing letters during the Second World War. Mom worked in an airplane factory as the original 'Rosie the Riveter" to keep herself busy until his return. As Bill served in the Military most of his career, mom lived in many cities in Canada but eventually came back to Winnipeg. She was so proud of her daughters and her grandchildren. Family was the most important thing to mom, so eventually she followed us out to BC in her later years. "For all her loving kindness, she asked for nothing in return; If all the world deserted us, to our mother we could turn" Interment service take place November 1, 11:00 a.m. at the Assumption Cemetery, Winnipeg.
