DONALD WILLIAM KUSHNIRYK It is with great sorrow that we announce the sudden passing of Donald (Don) William Kushniryk on October 28, 2013. Don was born on June 5, 1969 and grew up in Arbakka, MB. He graduated from Shevchenko School in Vita, MB in 1987 and then went on to get a degree in Computer Science at the University of Manitoba. He worked for various companies in Winnipeg, MB throughout his career in the computer field. Don will be sadly missed by his parents Edward and Yvonne, his brother Keith, aunts, uncle, cousins and friends. He was predeceased by his grandparents, William and Mary Kushniryk, Noel and Irene Huppe, and his godfather Norman Huppe. Don was a very avid sports fan, hockey, baseball, Nascar, you name it. His favourite was hockey. He played hockey in Vita growing up and then played for the Woody's in Winnipeg until he had to pack up his skates after a severe knee injury. He loved his Montreal Canadiens and even named his dog Habby after the Habs. When the Jets came back to Winnipeg he once again became a devoted Jets fan. He enjoyed the Jets games he attended at the MTS Centre immensely. His dream was for the Jets to win the Stanley Cup. • I had the privilege of being introduced to, and subsequently befriending, Don when we both worked at SHL in Winnipeg. He was a great person - always first with a smile and seemed to take everything in stride. It is especially sad when the world loses "one of the good ones" and that's what makes this one deeply painful. Rest peacefully, Don - you will be missed. - Posted by: John Dubchak (Friend) on: Nov 01, 2013
