SHIRLEY IRENE KRISTENSEN (CAUGHELL) September 2, 1941 - October 17, 2013 Mom passed quietly on Thursday, October 17 after a nine year fight with severe stroke symptoms. While weak in body she was always strong in spirit and continued to be the prayer warrior for Christ Jesus as she always had been throughout her life. She fought the good fight and overcame. She kept her faith through every trial. Mom is with Jesus now and we trust her reward will be great. Rest now Mom, rest in His house forever. Shirley is survived by her loving, caregiver husband of 30 years, Peter Kristensen, and her daughters; Marylynn Hunt (husband Brendan, grandchildren Sarah and Luke), Annie Tauber (Partner Craig) and her son Bruce McGregor (wife Lynne and grandchildren Christine and David). Shirley's ashes will be brought by Peter to Haida Gwaii, BC for a private service and interment. A special thank you to the homecare ladies that helped Mom at home this last nine years.
