Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryVELMA PAULINE BERENS (nee MCGINNIS) It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Velma Berens on November 4, 2013, at the age of 69, after a courageous battle with cancer. Velma is predeceased by her husband Lorrie, and her parents, Alexander and Christine McGinnis. Leaving to mourn are her sons Victor, Larry (Judy), Norman (Shirley), daughter Cathy, grandchildren Michael, Nicole, Erin, Matthew and Charlene, great-grandchildren Maddox, Briana, Tiana, Skylar, Christopher, Jayden and Brock, brothers Fred and John (Catherine), sister Elaine and nieces and nephews. In compliance with Velma's wishes, there will be a private family service. You are sadly missed mom, my best friend and mother. If tears could build a stairway, and memories a lane, I'd walk right up to heaven and bring you home again.
