Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryBARBARA ANN SINNOTT (nee HODGINS) November 30, 1928 - October 17, 2013 Barbara Ann Sinnott of Victoria, BC, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family, and joined her beloved husband Joseph and her sisters Marion and Patricia, and brother William. Missing her terribly are her children Emmett (Nancy), Timothy (Nancy), Quinn (Kathleen), Dennis (Heather), Colleen (Harri), Thomas, Mari (Richard), and Megan, her grandchildren Brinn, William, Elizabeth, Rosalie, Corinn, Carlie, Rachel, Rebecca, Gareth, Keegan, Devinn, Erinn, Shaelyn and Patrick and her great-grandchildren Claire, Reuben, Cooper and Jahzara. Barbara grew up in Winnipeg, Manitoba and married Joseph in 1950. Barbara was a loving mother who valued education, honesty, fairness and hard work. She had a keen interest in politics, literature and the arts. She completed an Associate of Arts degree while raising her big family. Barbara greatly enjoyed her family cabin on Gull Lake (Manitoba). Many happy summers were spent swimming, sunbathing on the dock, gardening, renovating, visiting relatives and doing family crosswords (she was the expert). Known to many as "GMA", Barbara was passionate about travel and fulfilled many of her dreams with African safaris, tours of Australia, and trips to Belize and Cuba. She brought the world back to us with her stories and photos. Barbara was a faithful supporter of her children's and her grandchildren's sports and activities, as well as a being a loyal Oakland Raiders fan. There will be a Celebration of Life for Barbara in Victoria, BC, Friday, November 15 at 2:00 p.m. at the Windsor Park Pavilion, 2451 Windsor Road. To our GMA - We love you, we miss you, and we will never forget you.
