Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryJOHN HARROWER MACDONALD February 5, 1929 - October 21, 2013 With great sorrow we announce the peaceful passing of my husband on October 21, 2013 at Charleswood Care Home with his family by his side. John is survived by his wife Sharon MacDonald (Prout) and their daughters Lorna (Dennis) Goehring, California, and Lesley (Alvin) Duncanson Flamand, Winnipeg. He will also be greatly missed by his grandchildren Aaron John Ross Duncanson, Branden James Goehring, Shaylin Alexa Goehring, as well as nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. He was predeceased by his sisters Mary and Jean. John grew up in Rosedale, Alberta and took a job in Calgary for Federal Grain where he met and married Sharon Prout. Soon after they moved to Winnipeg and he worked for Feed Rite Mills as a buyer until his retirement in 1994. John was a devoted, loving and very supportive husband and dad. He loved spending time in his yard and garden and having his membership at Teulon Golf Club. He always had a positive attitude and never complained about anything, just wanted everyone else to be happy. We will miss you! The world was a better place when you were in it. The funeral service will be held November 16, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. at Chapel Lawn, 4000 Portage Ave., followed by a reception.
