GEORGE FERGUSON Peacefully on Thursday, November 7, 2013 George Ferguson, beloved husband of Bea, passed away at the Portage District General Hospital at the age of 86 years. Left to cherish his memory are his wife Beatrice of 62 years; daughter-in-law Gwen (Daryl); two granddaughters, Tara (Calvin) and Stacey (Mark); four great-grandchildren Natalie and Kobe, Cash and Willow; sister-in-law Bernice Tashiro; sister Beatrice Kellett and several nieces and nephews. George was predeceased by his parents Jim and Katherin Ferguson; two brothers Willie and Alex and his beloved sons Brian and Brock. A time of visitation and viewing will be held on Monday, November 11, 2013 at McKenzies Portage Funeral Chapel from 7:00 pm 8:00 pm. A Celebration of George's Life will be held on Tuesday, November 12, at First Presbyterian Church at 2:30 pm. A private family interment will take place at Evergreen Memorial Gardens. As expressions of sympathy, if friends so wish, donations may be made in George's memory to the First Presbyterian Church Memorial Fund, 17 Royal Road S., Portage la Prairie, MB R1N 1T8 or to Central Plains Cancer Care Services, 318 Sask.
