Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryLARRY FEDORCHUK February 25, 1942 - November 13, 2013 Peacefully on November 13, 2013, Larry Fedorchuk passed away surrounded by his family, at the Health Sciences Centre, at 71 years of age. Larry will be lovingly remembered and sadly missed by his wife Phyllis; daughter Jennifer (Scott) Hanslip; son Jeff (Andrea); grandchildren Sarah, Kayla, and Emily; aunts Mary, Molly, Phyllis (Steve); sister-in-law Doreen (Arnie) Otto; brothers-in-law Mike Felewich (Diane Skoleski), Allan (Dale) Felewich; as well as by numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was predeceased by his parents, John and Frances, and brothers, Johnny and Tom. Larry was born on February 25, 1942 in Winnipeg, MB. After graduating from Churchill High School, he began a long career with the Bank of Montreal working at numerous branches within Winnipeg as well as several branches outside the city including: Portage la Prairie, Morden, Gimli, and Carman before retiring in 1994. Larry and Phyllis were married in 1968 and recently celebrated 45 years of marriage. Larry was an active member of St. Basil's Parish and the Knights of Columbus for many years. His interests included reading to his grandchildren, playing cribbage, having coffee with friends, watching football and hockey, and following the stock markets. Larry enjoyed travelling to various places over the years, especially Hawaii. The family would like to thank the staff at the Health Sciences Centre GH6 ward for their care during Larry's short stay in the hospital. We are very appreciative to family and friends who supported us throughout his illness. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the CancerCare Manitoba Foundation, 1160-675 McDermot Ave., Winnipeg, MB R3E 0V9 or to a charity of your choice. Divine Liturgy will be held at St. Basil's Ukrainian Catholic Church, 202 Harcourt St. on Wednesday, November 20, 2013 at 10:30 a.m. with Father Walter Klimchuk officiating. Interment will be at Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens. 204-586-8044

Even though Tammy and I have lived in BC for some time now, we still often think of friends we worked with over the years, so it was with some shock that I read about Larry today. I'm so happy that we were able to meet up in June at the BMO pensioners luncheon, and spend at least a short time together reminiscing. Larry was a gentle man and a great friend. We shared many enjoyable days at St. Basil's working, sharing stories about our families and vacation spots. I was a young teller back in the 70s in Gimli when Larry was the manager. "Mr. Fedorchuk" was wonderful to work for, always professional, fair and kind. I am very saddened to hear of his passing. We have been friends for over 50 years and I worked with Larry at the Bank of Montreal. He was a wonderful friend,husband,father and grandfather and we will miss him dearly. We were so fortunate to spend time with Larry, Phyllis & Jeff at the HSC last Sunday before leaving for Florida and regret not being able to be with the family to celebrate Larry's life.
