I never realized at the time that I was not mentioned in the obituary, like I wasn't even a part of you! I loved you very much Mike and miss you lots. I was just reminiscing the other day with Donna (who I hadn't seen in a long time) about cleaning your room when we were younger so you wouldn't get in shit or get the boot. Over the years there were some bumps in the road when it came to our family but no matter what we were always tight. Love and miss you lots...You would be so proud of the boys. They are both amazing young men! - Posted by: Shannon Allen (Sister) on: Aug 02, 2019

I went to junior high with Mike and had many, many laughs with him. He was such a great guy! I ran into him a few years back and it was so wonderful to see that he hadn't changed at all.....still the happy go lucky friendly guy that he always had been. Mike, I'll always remember how good you made people feel. - Posted by: Lynn Bommersbach (School friend) on: Nov 21, 2013

Mike may not have been related by blood, but many things made us relate to each other. He was always in good spirits and (usually in better spirits after a few spirits) always on the mellow side of things. We may never have shared our deepest of anything, but we understood each other and I always enjoyed the company. You are sorely missed my friend, I will always have a place for you in my heart. - Posted by: Jan Zaretski (Family Friend) on: Nov 20, 2013

We met Mike from our late friend/neighbor Neil Tarren. Although our social encounters were infrequent, Mike was always kind and warming. His humor never ceased to entertain us and those around him. Our heartfelt sympathy and condolences to Kathy and the family. Kathy...may all the wonderful memories help you through this difficult time. Our thoughts are with you. - Posted by: Al & Kathy Kaus (acquaintances) on: Nov 20, 2013

Michael grew up with my boys Brian, Kenny and Daryl. He and Kenny were the best of friends except for the time they had a disagreement and Kenny bit his hand. A couple of days later Michael paid him back by peeing on his foot. Kenny was devastated. But they stayed friends. This is just one of the memories that I have of Michael. May you rest in peace. Tootsie and family our prayers and thoughts are with you. I know what it is like to lose a son. Love Anne - Posted by: Anne Prior(Mykietowich) (Friend/neighbour) on: Nov 20, 2013

We are going to miss Mike, he came into our family about 20 years ago. Family occasions than became family parties. He was always smiling and waiting to have a good time, our family gatherings will not be the same without him. All the fun times at the lake will also be missed, as well as his big hugs. RIP Mike. This makes us so sad to write this, we are going you miss Mike! We have so many memories of holidays, birthdays, and get togethers at the lake, sitting there for hours at the falls, watching you scuba dive! There were lots of good times with Kathy, Brett and Darcy. The gazebo will never be the same. I am going to miss those bear hugs and you raiding my fridge! Love you lots xoxo Rest in piece Lawrence and Dianne (scooby) Costik - Posted by: Dianne and lawrence Costik (family) on: Nov 19, 2013

Mike was one of the greatest guys I ever met. Super funny, caring, loving, and always knew how to have a great time no matter the situation. I'm going to miss his laugh, his funny comments and his smile. He was the heart of the family, and will be greatly missed, but I know he's in paradise now, no more suffering my friend. Until we meet again! XOXOXOX - Posted by: Tamara Johnson (Family/Friend) on: Nov 19, 2013

I am shocked. I didn't see Mike often but I often thought of him. We knew each other since elementary school, at which time he protected me from a legitimate bully, I was little and he was few years ahead of me. From that point on I always looked up to Mike. We had the opportunity to work together for some time and it was a great relationship. Whenever we did run into each other it was a good reunion, always big hugs. Mike also had a very special place in my mother's heart as she worked at the school we went to, he meant a lot to her. My wife Charlene who also worked with us, also had an affection for Mike. I guess Mike was the type that everyone liked, there was no reason not to. Mike you were a good man and we will all miss you, rest well my friend. All our best to your family. Kathy, stay strong. - Posted by: Richard Kowal (Friend) on: Nov 19, 2013
