Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryMARGARET HARESIGN (nee MOFFAT) 1924 2013 It is with great sadness the family announces the passing of Margaret Haresign on November 13, 2013 at the age of 89. She is lovingly remembered by her devoted husband, Henry (Hank) and her family: daughter Helen (and husband Milutin); son Bruce (and wife Josie); and grandchildren, Ryan, Melissa, and Matthew. She was one of four children and is survived by brother Andrew Moffat, and sisters Helen Neilsen (Harry) and Dorothy Muncer. Margaret was born September 15, 1924 in Winnipeg. Margaret attended River View School and Gordon Bell Collegiate, and then went on to work at Genser's Furniture Store. Margaret met Hank during the war when he was stationed in Souris, MB and they were married on June 25, 1946. They spent their early married years in Moose Jaw, but moved back to Winnipeg in 1952. Margaret and Hank travelled throughout Canada and the USA, enjoying their camping adventures and bus trips. Margaret will always be remembered for her love of family and willingness to help others. She, as a member of the "Black Cats" helped raise money to support the troops during the war years, and later did volunteer work at Glenwood Community Club and with the St. Vital Boy Scouts association. Your gentle face and pleasant smile with sadness we recall You had a kindly word for each and died beloved by all You are not forgotten love one, nor will you ever be As long as life and memory last We will remember thee Margaret spent her last years at Pembina Place Mennonite Personal Care Home. The family wishes to express our thanks to the staff for their compassionate care and companionship. Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Avenue, on Wednesday, November 20, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to Pembina Place Care Home http://bethania.ca/bethania-memorial/.
