ERNEST FUNK Peacefully on November 8, 2013, Ernest Funk of Winnipeg, MB, passed away at the age of 77. For 56 years, Ernie drove long haul for numerous trucking companies including Penners International in Steinbach, MB and Merit Transport in Winnipeg. He was predeceased by his parents, Aaron and Susanna Funk, brothers Jake and Johnny and sons Kevin and Todd. Left to mourn are wife Sandra, daughter Kelly (Larry), granddaughters Rhea (Ray), Michelle, Samantha and Karly, grandson Lance, great-granddaughters Sharron and Kali, and great-grandson Riley. Services will be announced at a later date. The family wishes to extend their thanks to Ernie's home care workers from the River East Access Centre. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.

Mr. Funk was an unforgettable customer of mine. He always had a smile and we had many conversations at my store.
