FRANK F. PAULS Peacefully on November 15, 2013 Frank, age 91, passed away at Concordia Hospital. Lovingly remembered by his wife, Selma, son, Frank (Georgia), daughters, Lore (Ron) Balzer and Hildi Taylor, grandchildren, Troy (Guin), Marla (Peter), David, Jennifer (David), Kirk, Megan and Allison (Tyler), great-grandchildren, Sierra, Ava, Miles and Audrina, and by his step-family and the Bargeboe family. He was predeceased by Agnes, his wife of 50 years, and son-in-law Bob Taylor. Frank worked at carpentry and later supervised the woodworking shop in the University of Manitoba Fine Arts and Architecture Department. His hobbies were photography, sketching, painting and wood carving. He built four cottages at Lakeshore Heights for himself and three of his friends and enjoyed time spent there. For many years he shared in the camaraderie of playing dominoes with the guys. He was a member of First Mennonite Church, where he served as a deacon. He also was part of MCC's prisoner visitation ministry. He enjoyed traveling. His most meaningful trip was to Ukraine in 1996, where he connected with numerous relatives. Reading and TV were pastimes in retirement. Viewing at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home on Wednesday, November 20 at 7:00 p.m. Funeral service at Winnipeg Evangelical Free Church, 500 Lagimodiere, Thursday, November 21 at 11:00 a.m. Donations may be made to Mennonite Central Committee (MCC).
