Condolences & Memories (4 entries)

  • We are all saddened by the loss of your husband, father and grandfather. Arvilla and Doug and Russell have such great memories of the Potter family, particularly of Don and Alan telling iffy jokes and trying to manage the neighbourhood. God Bless you and we will always remember what a great guy he was. - Posted by: The Meachams (Neighbours) on: Nov 28, 2013

  • Girls I'm sorry to hear about your dads passing. I remember the good times we had with him on the back lane and your dad and mine getting together to work on projects and having a few drinks in the back yards. God bless. - Posted by: Fred taylor (Friend) on: Nov 27, 2013

  • I remember all the laughs at square dancing, and the many camping trips. Also enjoyed the bus stories. sorry I cannot attend your farewell. - Posted by: Ruth Wright (friend) on: Nov 27, 2013

  • Uncle Don was the youngest of his family. With the early departure of his Father & Mother, Don was guided through his teen years by his older brother Melvin and his wife Nell. Don was closer age wise to his nieces & nephews, Dorthy, Florence, George, Ken & Murray. Therefore for most of his life he was simply Don, not Uncle Don. We were impressed with Vel when he brought her to the farm before they were married. We went on a horse and toboggan ride and she pushed us out one by one and returned to the house with horse and toboggan with the five of us running behind. She was definitely the Aunt we wanted for Uncle Don. - Posted by: Murray Potter (Nephew) on: Nov 27, 2013
