WALTER EDWARD KOLT Walter Edward Kolt passed away peacefully in his sleep on Tuesday, November 26, 2013 in Nanaimo, BC at 91 years of age. Predeceased by his brother Charlie, he is survived by his beloved wife Caroline, sons Daren (Patty) and Greg (Joanne), grandchildren: Jason, Ashlea, Sarrie, James, Christopher and Mackenzie, five great-grandchildren and numerous other relatives and friends. Walter worked for CN and Via Rail for over 46 years. He also served overseas during the Second World War and was a longstanding member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch #90 and the Army, Navy, Airforce Rockwood Branch #303. He always had an sharp mind that wanted to find out how things worked. This helped him to develop a mechanical inclination and he could fix just about anything. Walter lived his whole life in the Winnipeg area until earlier this year, due to health, he moved out to Nanaimo, BC to be closer to family. A service may be announced at a later date.
