FAY MCBRIDE Fay McBride, born April 22, 1928, passed away peacefully on December 2, 2013 at Victoria General Hospital. She is survived by her son Patrick McPhillips (Susan), grandson Murray McPhillips, sister Rosalie Larcombe, niece Patt Larcombe, nephew Dave Shaw (Marg), brother Jack Larcombe (Marg) and several other family members. Fay was predeceased by her daughter Shawn McPhillips Warrington and her son Michael McPhillips. Per Fay's wishes, a private family memorial will be held. Fay dearly loved animals. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to The Winnipeg Humane Society.

Fay was my first friend when I emigrated to Canada from England 54 years ago. At that time I had no transportation and three small children so Fay and I spent a lot of time together. We remained close neighbors until I moved to America, then we cried a lot and remained long distance friends. We have cried together over the years about personal family tragedies. But now Fay is at peace and cries no more. Rest peacefully my dear friend. My condolences to all the family and thanks to Fay's sister and to Murray for notifying me. Take care.
