STANLEY COX 1933-2013 It is with sadness that we announce the passing of Stanley Cox. He will be lovingly remembered by his wife Irene, daughter Sharon and son-in-law Rudy Braun, son Craig, grandchildren Corry and Randy, great-grandchildren Talia and Carsten. Also remembering him are his sister Bea and her family, brother Ron and wife Rose and family, brothers-in-law Mac and Fred and his family, Godson Danny and many dear friends and special pet Barney. Stan was predeceased by his Mum and Dad and his beloved sister Audrey. As a young man Stan worked at Birks Jewellers and then joined the Winnipeg Fire Dept. in 1956. He was a proud firefighter and retired as Captain in l990. Stan loved family, family dinners, fishing, golf, Friday night dinners with good friends and retired Firefighters breakfasts. Stan's favourite time of year was Christmas and it will be difficult not to have him with us this year. The family would like to thank all the special staff at Donwood Manor Personal Care Home for their loving and compassionate care of Stan while he was a resident there. A Celebration of Stan's Life will be held on Wednesday, December 11, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Avenue.   • One did not too often see Stan without a smile or a pleasant word. How hard he worked along with Irene to keep the home and garden looking lovely! I would tease him about Firefighters polishing trucks all day! That would get him going... Irene, you and the family are in our prayers and our thoughts will certainly be with you on Wednesday.
