DAVID GABRIEL GODDEN June 9, 1933 - December 8, 2013 It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our father, grandfather and great-grandfather, Dave, on Sunday, December 8, 2013, at the St. Boniface Hospital, at the age of 80 years. Dave worked at the CN Railway for 35 years. He loved to golf with his buddies and was also on a bowling team. He loved to go down to Texas almost every winter to get away from our cold months. Dave is survived by his daughters Joanne (Jacques) Castille, Darlene (Mike) Mastrobuono and Karen Godden. Grandchildren: Dwayne, Robby, Mandy, Jamie, Harley, Jodi, Stephen, Attyah and numerous great-grandchildren. Sister Iris (Barry) Larkin, brother John (Ruth) Godden. Dave was predeceased by his second wife Pauline, parents George and Valeska Godden; daughter Sherri Rose; sisters Freida and Penny. We watched you slip away, On that cold December day. You were surrounded by love, And your daughter Who was waiting for you, to join her above. You are at peace now, With an Angel you so missed. A very special thank-you to Muriel who was a very good friend to our Dad. Muriel made our Dad's last few years fulfilled. Graveside service to be held in June 2014.

  • December 8th it has been 5 years since my dad's soul went to heaven. Not a day goes by that I do not think of him. I wish he had stayed in my life longer so he could of met his granddaughters Jordyn and Frankie. I really hope you found Sherri in heaven. I know you really missed her when she passed. I miss you so much. I know you are happier where you are...No more pain...You are free. Love you Dad xoxo - Posted by: Karen Godden (Daughter) on: Dec 08, 2018

  • Dad was at St. Boniface Hospital since November 2, 2013. He was fiesty right to the end of his life. Those who truly new him, loved him and wanted to choke him at the same time, lol. He loved to laugh when he wasn't in pain. We did have a lot of good times together. I will miss him greatly. Now at least he's at peace with no more pain. I love you Dad!!!!, Dar - Posted by: Darlene Jansen (Daughter) on: Dec 13, 2013
