IRVIN (JOEY) JOSEPH SAYER Suddenly on December 12, 2013, Irvin Joseph Sayer of Black River First Nation passed away at the age of 27 years. Wake service is being held at the Black River Band Hall, Black River First Nation from December 14 to 17, 2013. Funeral service will be held on Tuesday, December 17, 2013 at 1:00 p.m. with Reverend Ernest McPherson officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Joey was predeceased by his grandmother Marie Abraham, great-grandmother Mary Jane Adore, his foster dad George Harry and Uncle Stanford Morrisseau. He leaves to mourn his mother Bertha Sayer (Lew Bird) , siblings Eric Sayer (Rachel), and Michelle Sharpe; foster mom/aunt Lucy Black, special brother Derek Harry (Nicole), special sisters Melaine Swain (Norbert), Rona Harry (Freeman) and Agnes Swain (Jessie); uncles Donald Black, Charlie Black (Sharon), Irvin Sayer (Theresa) and Langford Black (Matilda), great-uncles Peter Smith (Beverly) and Clifford Black (Bonnie); great-aunt Freda Favel; friends Scott Harry, Loren Bird, and Wyatt Kent, numerous cousins, relatives and friends.
