THOMAS WAYNE LILLYMAN
Born: Dec 09, 1950
Date of Passing: Dec 13, 2013
Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryTHOMAS WAYNE LILLYMAN December 9, 1950 - December 13, 2013 It is with sadness that we announce the passing of our Dad on December 13, 2013, with family by his side. Dad will forever be in the hearts of his children: Kacee (Neal), Chris (Heather), Ken (Mel) and Teresa (Shawn). Left to cherish memories of ice cream and Jeep rides are the lights of his life, his grandkids: Easton, Paiton, Madison, Mac, Paige, Jane, Ben, Kate and Juliana. He will be missed by his partner Mary, his brother Keith and sister Karen along with his many nieces and nephews, his good friends, and his faithful sidekick, his dog Chevy. Dad was predeceased by his parents Gordon and Dorothy, his brothers Bob and Ken, and by his sister Elaine. From the time he was 16, Dad could often be found at the Jolly Mug (Thunderbird). Whether it was to work, bringing the family for Sunday brunch, catching up with friends or taking his kids and grandkids for meals, Dad made many memories there. He also loved to be at the Maple Grove dog park. Dad was an avid golfer and loved boating and fishing. He could frequently be found driving around in his 1955 Jeep Willys with his dog Chevy, rain or shine. Some of our best memories are of Dad and his jeep. The most important thing to Dad was family. Whether it was a big feast at holidays or a cup of coffee when we had some spare time, he loved and cherished every minute of it. By far, Dad's greatest joy was his grandkids and being GrandDAD'. His pride for them was unmistakable and he had a special bond with each one of them. A celebration of Tom's life will be held on Friday, December 20, 2013, 10:00 a.m. at Christ the King Church, 847 St. Mary's Road with reception to follow. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.

Will miss seeing Tom pull up to the Jolly Mug with Chevy in the back seat. I had the pleasure of going for a ride in his beloved Jeep. I enjoyed his jokes and talking with him and also of him giving me heck after I had given Chevy many coffee creamers. My thoughts and prayers are with all of you and also Chevy as he and Tom were faithful friends and were together always. Be at peace Tom and I know you are up there entertaining everyone with your stories and jokes. - Posted by: Debbie Ostlere (Jolly Mug Coffee Crew) on: Dec 20, 2013

We were so sad to read about the death of Tom. We saw him last year when he came to Arizona - it had been 40 years since we had last seen him and this was such a coincidence. You see Tom was responsible for our marriage - he introduced us and every year on our anniversary we remembered him. It was a blind date and neither of us wanted to go - but Tom insisted. It was a wonderful thing. We did lose touch shortly after but we never forgot him. He was a fun loving guy and a good person. Our deepest sympathies - Ken & Sharon Smyth - Posted by: Ken & Sharon Smyth (Friends) on: Dec 18, 2013

Mr. Lillyman was a great man to me, and for a period of my life he was like a father figure to me! I will miss our talks about life, and sharing our love of all things automotive. I will also miss his random visits to see me at work and for the ride in his beloved Jeep. My thoughts are with Tom's family! Thanks for being a great guy to me Tom! - Posted by: Arlin () on: Dec 17, 2013
