LAWRENCE ORR On December 14, 2013, Lawrence Orr, of Parksville, BC, passed away peacefully, at the age of 86, at The Gardens in Qualicum Beach, BC. Leaving to celebrate his life are his wife Beverley (formerly Davidson); children Ronald (Valerie) Orr of Nanaimo, BC, and Randy (Kathy) Orr of Hythe, AB; stepchildren Jim (Brenda) Davidson, and Diane (Adrian) Davidson, Caroline (Aaron) Sugarman; sister Laury Waugh; nine grandchildren; and nieces and nephews. Larry was predeceased by his former wife of 48 years, Mildred (nee Hamilton), in 2000, his son Doug (1996), his brother Garnet (1976), and his parents, Cecil and Margaret Orr. He served for 20 years in the Canadian Armed Forces as a Photographer, in Ottawa, Whitehorse, and Germany. After his military career was over, he worked for 15 years for the RCMP in Ottawa until his retirement. The family sends thanks to the nurses and staff at The Gardens for their kind care over the past year. Cremation has taken place and a celebration of Larry's life will be held in the spring in Winnipeg.
